Carpentry

 Carpentry program is offered as a two-year course for which four (4) credits can be earned toward graduation. 
 
Construction Core introduces students to the fundamentals of:
  • Construction safety
  • hand and power tools
  • math and blueprint reading
  • basic carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing skill
Upon the completion of this course, students will have knowledge to complete the Contren Core Certification.
 
Carpentry (Year Two) consists of an in-depth study of :
  • foundations
  • wall and ceiling framing
  • room framing
  • windows and doors 
  • stair layout
Upon the completion of this course, students will have the knowledge to complete the Contren Level I Certification.
